13-goal forward set to reject best-ever chance of Premier League action

Things have fallen into place perfectly for Lautaro Martinez it would seem.

He’s having a great season, netting 13 goals in 13 games so far, while all the top teams in the Premier League grow desperate for a striker. Everything is lining up perfectly for him to make a huge money move to a top team over here like Chelsea, Arsenal or Man U.

But instead, reports from Caughtoffside claim he’s going to sign a new contract with Inter, keeping him with the Nerazurri for the rest of his prime years.

At Inter he’s already won a league and reached a Champions League final, and has established himself as a hero even as players like Romelu Lukaku have come and gone. We couldn’t blame him at all for staying put and building his legend further.

Will we be sad not to see him in the Premier League? Certainly. We just hope he doesn’t end up regretting the decision not to test himself in the best league in the world.
