Chelsea forward nominated for EPL award for the month of November

Chelsea have had a very interesting November in the Premier League in terms of results.

The Blues played three games in November, winning one, drawing one, and losing the third.

Chelsea’s only league win in November came in the 4-1 smashing of Tottenham Hotspur away from home. The Blues then drew 4-4 with reigning champions, Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, before suffering a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Newcastle last weekend.

In all of those games, we also witnessed some great individual performances from the Chelsea squad, particularly from the likes of Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer.

The two aforementioned players helped Chelsea in the month in review, and even grabbed some goals and assists.

It is therefore not surprising that Sterling has been deemed fit to be nominated for the Premier Player of the Month award for November.

The 28-year-old has been in much-better form since the start of the 2023-24 campaign, with five goals to his credit so far. Two of those goals came in games against Man City and Tottenham, where Chelsea played some entertaining football.

Sterling is nominated alongside Jeremy Doku (Man City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle), Thomas Kaminski (Luton Town), Marcus Tavernier (AFC Bournemouth), and Harry Maguire (Manchester United).

Sterling also picked up a ‘Goal of the Month’ nomination for his wonderful free kick against Newcastle last Saturday. The ex-Man City star fired an unstoppable effort from a long way out to draw Chelsea level after he was fouled by Kieran Trippier during a counterattack. The strike has been hailed as one of the goals of the season, and has deservedly been nominated for an award this month.
