Chelsea super star tipped to make more impact at Chelsea than Romeo Lavia

Journalist, Dean Jones has tipped Christopher Nkunku to have an immediate impact at Chelsea than Romeo Lavia.

The two players have not yet played a competitive match for the Blues, following their respective summer moves from RB Leipzig and Southampton.

The duo have however been training with the first-team in the last couple of weeks, and are expected back in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad soon.

Nkunku’s return is perhaps the most anticipated among Chelsea fans and neutrals, due to the team’s current struggles in front of goal, and Jones says the 26-year-old will easily find his feet in the team than Lavia, who will have to contend with the likes of Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher before he can play.

He told GiveMeSport: “I think Nkunku will probably make a bigger immediate impact than Romao Lavia. I think you can see the complications there are in terms of finding your place in a team, particularly in the midfield.”

Lavia could still manage to slot into Pochettino’s side easily. It’s just down to the coach to find a way to use his best players to grind out results for Chelsea.
