Chelsea’s 21-year-old star ready to reconsider future after predictable signing disappointment

You could almost set your watch by it – almost a year exactly after arriving, Noni Madueke is being linked with an exit from Chelsea.

It seemed a strange and unnecessary signing at the time. Madueke hadn’t really shown the ability or the potential to be given a chance at Chelsea right away. The worst part is, he’s still not really been given much of a chance. More players have been bought since him who have jumped ahead of him in the queue for minutes, and he’s barely featured this season under Mauricio Pochettino.

The Telegraph say he’s ready to “consider his future,” and we’re not surprised. He’d be better off anywhere where he will play than sitting on the bench of a struggling Chelsea.

If Pochettino is happy with the squad depth in attack once Christopher Nkunku returns, we can envision a loan for Madueke – but whatever happens now, his signing is already looking like the predictable disaster it was from day one.
