Armando Broja has had about as tough a start to life in the Premier League as you could ask for. He began on loan at a struggling Southampton team that was eventually relegated, and then came back to a struggling Chelsea team.
Just as he started getting games for Graham Potter, he picked up an injury which kept him out for a year, and he’s only just starting to get back into the team now. No wonder his top flight record is now 50 appearances and 8 goals.
With Mauricio Pochettino looking to change his team up after a bad defeat to Newcastle, we were convinced we’d see Broja from the start yesterday. But instead it was Nicolas Jackson who kept his place.
That won’t last forever – in fact in their piece today Give Me Sport claim that Pochettino is “a big admirer” of the Albania international and is itching to use him when he’s fit and ready.
We’ve got two games this week – surely this is the chance we’ve been waiting for?
