He’s not Useful to the Club, Arsenal star Slammed for Betraying the Gunners after Worst Display

Kieran Tierney had a chance for Arsenal’s title run-in when Oleksander Zinchenko was ruled out for the season.

But as their hopes of topping the league look all but over after today’s defeat to Brighton, Gunners fans’ faith in the Scotland defender seem to be going the same way. He’s played second fiddle to the Ukrainian for most of this season due to the latter’s technique and ability to join attacks and play as an inverted full-back.

Tierney did still have his backers in those who felt he deserved more game time and with Zinchenko making some high-profile errors lately, that was amplified. Plenty billed him as a better defender at the very least and a better option for certain matches that call for that type of player.

However, after being handed a chance today, some supporters seem to be blaming at last part of their failings today on a drop off in quality in that position with the ex-Celtic man coming in.

One wrote on Twitter: “We’ve been a disgrace in the final third. There’s a bigger drop off on Tierney’s ability on the ball than there is with Zinchenko defensively.”

Another said: “Arsenal are worse in build-up with Tierney than they are with Holding.

Another Gunner wrote: “Tierney does not fit the system and that’s sad but he should def leave.

Another said: “No control, we’re missing Zinchenko. Hope people will finally start to understand why he’s first choice over Tierney.”

While another added: “All those fans that wanted Tierney in for zinny coz of a couple of errors and this is what you get.. Missing our best player in buildup. His pros seriously outweigh his defensive lapses.”
