Journalist reveals Chelsea’s current behind-the-scenes discussions

A lot has been said about Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino in the fallout of Saturday afternoon’s thrashing from Newcastle United.

It was a game that saw Chelsea fold over and put in their worst performance of the season so far, and things re not supposed to be going this way after the new owners have spent almost £1billion on signing new players across the last three transfer windows since they arrived at the club.

There is some progress, a couple of steps forward, then followed by three steps backwards, and some fans are getting frustrated once again. The owners I am sure are also getting frustrated.

But Pochettino was selected for the long-term at the club and for the project, and according to journalist Paul Brown, Chelsea’s owners are still determined to give him time to bring success back to the club.
