Mauricio Pochettino set one condition for Chelsea if he does become the new manager

Mauricio Pochettino is still expected to become the next Chelsea manager, but things are taking a while now to get over the line.

We have been hearing for a couple of weeks that it has been close and an agreement was expected to be reached, but we are yet to hear confirmation of it going over the line yet.

Football London have reported today that Pochettino has held multiple rounds of talks with Chelsea and those negotiations have been described as positive and full of progress. No deal has been agreed yet between the two parties but there is a confidence from both sides it will get done.

But if or when, as expected, Pochettino does become the new Chelsea manager, he has already spoken about one thing he will do in his book that he wrote with Guillem Balague a few years ago, and this will suit Chelsea perfectly with the amount of young players they have.

“I love helping young players. It’s like planting a tree, watering it, watching it grow. All the fruit it bears comes from the land and the environment that you put in place. You move to the 1st team with a feeling of identity that offers the team an added extra. It’s something that will be stamped on every side I coach.”
