Mykhailo Mudryk responds to Silva’s Chelsea error apology against Newcastle

Mudryk responds clearly to Thiago Silva’s apology for Chelsea error against Newcastle

Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk has responded to Thiago Silva after the veteran defender apologised for his error during the 4-1 defeat against Newcastle. The Blues’ unbeaten run in all competitions came to a dismal end as they were played off the pitch at St. James’ Park.

Alexander Isak opened the scoring for the hosts just 13 minutes into the game, before Raheem Sterling equalised with a stunning free-kick 10 minutes later. However, the game got away from Chelsea in the second half as Newcastle scored twice within a minute on the hour mark.

Jamaal Lascelles put Eddie Howe’s side ahead before a costly error from Silva allowed Joelinton in on goal to slot the ball past Robert Sanchez. Reece James was then sent off after picking up a second yellow card for a silly challenge on Anthony Gordon.

The Chelsea captain has sent his own apology to his teammates and supporters with James now set to miss the Premier League clash against Brighton next weekend. Gordon completed the rout for Newcastle by scoring a fourth and final goal in the 83rd minute.

Mauricio Pochettino slammed the maturity of his players as he watched Chelsea suffer defeat from the stands at St. James’ Park and now Silva has sent a message apologising to supporters for the performance and his error. In a post on Instagram, Silva wrote: “I’m devastated.

“It wasn’t a good day for us. I would like to apologize to everyone for the defeat, especially to my teammates who believe in me and support me every day.

“I take full responsibility. Let’s gather strength and come back stronger *blue heart emoji*.”

Mudryk has now responded to Silva’s apology with a clear one-word message. The Ukraine international commented under the Brazilian defender’s social media post: “Junto.”

Mudryk’s comment, when translated from Portuguese into English, read: “Together.” It highlights the team spirit in Pochettino’s squad but it’s clear that individual errors continue to cost Chelsea points as they aim to challenge for a top four spot this season
