Ornstein discusses player’s attitude at Chelsea

Transfer expert David Ornstein has been speaking about one player this week and has put out what he has heard – and it’s pretty interesting to hear.

Chelsea sold a lot of players in the summer and some of their player sells raised some eyebrows.

They managed to get a very decent amount of money for both Mason Mount and Kai Havertz and really, they did very well to get that for both players.

Both have been struggling at their new clubs this season, but Havertz seems to be starting to find a bit better form of late.

Ornstein has been speaking about that and discussing what he has heard behind the scenes, and it sounds like Havertz has been working very hard at his new club to try and make it – something Ornstein says he also did at Chelsea.

That story didn’t end well, I wonder if it will end up better at Arsenal?

As cited by The Chelsea Chronicle, speaking on The Athletic Football Podcast, Ornstein said: “There is a very different perception in the public to the reality in private. What people see of Havertz behind the scenes and how they are working to make him most effective.

“Don’t forget he is learning a new role, at a new club, with a new group of players who have pretty much solidified their way of playing last season and he comes into it. It is going to take some time. But I think everything I hear suggests that firstly he is ultra committed and dedicated and football obsessed to get this right and work with the coaches.

“And furthermore his attitude behind the scenes and the application that he puts in, his conduct – which is something I heard at Chelsea as well – is beyond reproach.

“He really is a very popular character with players and staff and away from the pitch throughout his career he has worked with physios for his recovery and condition and things like that.”
