Pochettino single out two Chelsea players he’s happy with after Brighton victory

Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he’s delighted to see two different players get on the scoresheet for Chelsea, as the Blues beat Brighton 3-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Levi Colwill scored his first Chelsea goal to make it 2-0 to Pochettino’s side after Enzo Fernandez’s opener.

The Argentine then bagged another from the penalty spot later in the second period after Mykhailo Mudryk was tripped during a dangerous Chelsea counterattack.

It was also Enzo’s first Chelsea goal in the Premier League, and Pochettino is happy his players are gradually settling in.

“It’s important that different players can score. For Enzo, it was his first and second goal in the Premier League,” the 51-year-old said.

“We are always talking about confidence, it is important that they are building that confidence.

“Players always need six months or one season to start to show their real quality, why is it going to be different at Chelsea? I’m so happy that different players could score goals, to help the team.”
