Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Chelsea super star ahead of January transfer

Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Chelsea captain, Reece James, according to reports in Spain.

Per Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish giants are looking for a permanent replacement for Dani Carvajal, who is already 31.

It is believed that Madrid will send scouts over to watch Chelsea’s game with Tottenham on Monday in hopes of preparing a decent offer for the 24-year-old.

The right-back is expected to start the game after playing for an hour when the Blues beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0 to book a spot in the Carabao Cup quarter finals on Wednesday.

James was named Chelsea captain over the summer, and remains committed to the team, but it’s yet to be seen whether the allure of a club like Madrid may prove impossible to refuse if an offer does come.
