Sterling alleges Chelsea fan behavior at Stamford Bridge after Brighton win
Raheem Sterling was part of a Chelsea side that managed to grind out a much-needed result against Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
Chelsea showed some great character to beat Brighton by a 3-2 scoreline earlier today in the Premier League.
It looked like being another tough day at the office for Mauricio Pochettino’s side when Conor Gallagher was sent off before half-time, but the hosts did defend well for large parts in the second-half.
Eventually, the Blues held on for three points and a confidence boost going into trips to Manchester United and Everton next week.
Gallagher has apologised this evening after his red card via his Instagram account.
Chelsea fans in good voice
Blues attacker Raheem Sterling, 28, celebrated his team’s win with a post on social media.
He gave a very special mention to the home crowd inside Stamford Bridge for being in great voice.
“Got the job done. Fans were electric today. We go again on Wednesday,” Sterling wrote on Instagram.
When the Bridge is in full voice, it can certainly rock and be one of the best grounds around. The players certainly needed them to get over the line versus Brighton.
Raheem Sterling celebrates
Sterling, along with his teammates, can celebrate this weekend’s success. We suspect that there will be plenty more ups and downs during a very busy December, though.
It was crucial the side got back on track after returning from the international break with the failure at Newcastle.
Aside from the poor trip to Newcastle, Chelsea have done pretty well on a lot of their road trips this season. Hopefully, they can gather points on the road at Old Trafford and Goodison Park.
With Gallagher suspended at Man United, it’ll be interesting to see the make up of the side.
