United with happiness: Brighton star warns Chelsea of what money can’t buy

Ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and Brighton at Stamford Bridge, Brighton star Pascal Gross has warned Chelsea that money cannot buy happiness.

Chelsea have signed Moises Caicedo and Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Gross believes they only left Brighton for Chelsea for money.

“They have taken a lot of our players from us,” Gross says ahead of Sunday’s match at Stamford Bridge.

“They have more money than us so they can do that but that doesn’t matter on the pitch.”

Despite spending around £1billion on transfers since Todd Boehly bought the club from Roman Abramovich, Chelsea go into Sunday’s game against Brighton six points behind the visitors.

“Brighton is a happy place,” said the Seagulls star. “I don’t know about Chelsea, I concentrate on my club.

“Brighton is a good place to be. We are growing. We fight for each other. We have a lot of good people and great times ahead.”
