Why Pochettino tells his staff to “get ready” for Chelsea as “final decision” expected soon; Find out

Fabrizio Romano has joined in the slew of insiders claiming that the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea boss is imminent, and as usual the Italian Tweeter has added some interesting detail.

He claims that the former Spurs boss has told his backroom staff to “get ready” as he expects the appointment to be made soon, and adds that Chelsea will make their “final decision” soon.

Talks are progressing very well between Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea board. Process ongoing — not done yet but it’s getting closer.

Pochettino has told his backroom staff to get ready — he’s clear favourite since Friday.

Chelsea will make final decision soon.

The Telegraph’s Matt Law has added that Pochettino expects to bring four of his key staff members with him to Stamford Bridge, where he will take over at the end of the season.

Assuming the decision is made in the next couple of weeks however, Pochettino will be able to get to work right away on a large portion of the job. He has his work cut out in trimming this bloated squad, and his first job will be deciding which players form part of his future and which don’t.
